Rei Jaume I Entrepreneur Prize 2024 Víctor Amarnani, CEO of BigBuy Group, was visited by the executive president of the FVPRJ, Javier Quesada and representatives of the prize’s collaborating entities. The juries of the 36th edition of the Rei Jaume I Prizes met last June in their traditional Meeting of Juries that proclaimed the seven winners of the Rei Jaume I Prizes 2024 in the different categories: Basic Research, Economics, Biomedical Research, Clinical Research and Public Health, Environmental Protection, New Technologies and Entrepreneur.

This year, the jury for the prizes was composed of nearly one hundred people, 20 of whom are Nobel laureates in different disciplines. Furthermore, as every year, the jury was attended by the country’s leading businessmen and businesswomen, as is usual every year in the Entrepreneur Jury.

The Entrepreneur Prize has the collaboration of AVE, Mercadona and EDEM Escuela de Empresarios. In this edition, the jury in this category recognized, among the more than 50 nominated people, Víctor Amarnani with this prize for his clearly entrepreneurial profile, as he started his first business adventure at a very young age. His experience has allowed him to create BigBuy in 2013 with his partner Salvador Esteve, providing an innovative and comprehensive solution that enables companies and entrepreneurs to grow their sales across Europe on digital channels, offering product, technology and operations. Something that fosters the internationalisation and growth of the economy.

In a highly competitive sector, it reinvests in R&D&I on a sustained basis, in addition to supporting the entrepreneurial and startup community with training initiatives and institutional support.

BigBuyIt is a fast-growing company with several companies focused on ecommerce within the group. It has created a unique business model, totally disruptive and pioneering from the Valencian Community to Europe; a comprehensive proposal to boost its customers’ digital sales, taking advantage of trends such as Full-Commerce or Omnichannel. Currently, 90% of the sales generated by BigBuy are outside Spain, highlighting the company’s potential in a global context.

Regarding the future, the company aims to continue specializing in providing tools and solutions to its clients to transform data into sales, helping them with the complexity of operating in multiple markets, channels and marketplaces. During the visit, Víctor Amarnani emphasised that “receiving this prestigious prize is a source of immense pride, not only for me, but also for my partner, Salvador Esteve, and for all of us who make up the BigBuy team. This recognition is for all of us. Entrepreneur and team must always go hand in hand. This is the only way to build prosperous and long-lasting businesses and to make them grow and evolve. The Rei Jaume I Prizes have always been a reference for me in the business and scientific field, and this prize will undoubtedly mark a milestone in the history of BigBuy”.
